Data protection is the backup of data, the various types of data protection ranging from uptime protection (i.e. Raid 0,1, and 5 hot swappable) to basic documents backup to full system backups, the various types of backup devices and media, their reliability and feasibility, how virus infections can affect (and sometimes destroy) the data itself as well as the backup. Many who use mirroring seem to feel safe, but mirroring also mirror disk errors, virus, corruption. |
