Real Estate in San Diego County has been enjoying a very active market since the begining of the year. The Federal "First Time Home Buyer" and "California New Home" and "First Time Home Buyer" tax credits played a very important role in raising the level of activities in the county along with the historically low interest rates. A great number of the properties remaining on the market at this time are Short Sale properties that due to the nature of their transaction, are less favored by the buyers and the real estate agents. At this time the real estate values in most parts of the county are stable. Even though the mortgage rates are very low, but the lenders are still making it very difficul for the borrowers to obtain a mortgage. |
